Barbour Community Health Association Announces 15th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run

By: Barbour Community Health AssociationNovember 4, 2026

BELINGTON, W.Va. (October 27, 2026) – Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) will host its 15th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Belington Wellness Center. The long-standing community tradition invites families, seasoned runners, and first-time participants to come together for a morning of movement, gratitude, and local impact.

This year’s event continues its commitment to supporting hunger relief across Barbour County with all proceeds divided between Heart and Hand House and the Belington Presbyterian Church.

Heart and Hand’s food pantry provides meals for around 275 people per month, and the Presbyterian Church will be able to provide approximately 400 Thanksgiving meals to residents this year.

“Every year the Turkey Trot brings neighbors together in a way that reflects the best of our community,” said Kim Bolton, Director of our Belington Wellness Center. “It is a chance to focus on wellness while directly supporting families who rely on these vital programs. And it has become a great tradition for families looking to get out and move together for a cause.”
