Programs and Events Offered by Barbour Community Health Association

Barbour Community Health Association operates Belington Medical Clinic, Belington Wellness Center, Myers Clinic, AB Wellness Center, and Brandon Wellness Center at Philip Barbour High School. BCHA has been serving the Barbour County community since 1973, and during that time added facilities and programs to better provide health care services to patients. Facilities offer doctors, physician’s assistants, nurses, and nurse’s aids to provide the best health care services to the community.

BCHA has added Behavior Health and Nutrition programs to their list of services and offer water aerobics, Silver Sneaker Yoga, vinyasa yoga, and personal training sessions at Belington Wellness Center. Another program Barbour Community Health Association is proud to partner with is Bonnie’s Bus Mammography Program through the WVU Cancer Institute.

HEALTH CARE COST PROGRAMS FROM BARBOUR COMMUNITY HEALTH Association

The cost of treatment and medicine can be overwhelming if you need care and do not have health insurance. The clinic offers several programs for moderate- and low-income families without health insurance or with high deductibles. Proof of income, which is kept confidential, is required to participate. The Health Access Program is a moderate-income program that offers reduced cost medical care based on a sliding scale. The lower your income, the less you will pay. If you have Medicare or health insurance with high deductibles or co-pays, and meet the income requirements, you are also eligible. There is a minimum charge for each visit. The cost of your visit, some laboratory tests, and some medications are covered under the program. Free and reduced cost medication is available to Health Access patients. The clinic maintains a wide variety of generic medication available at reduced costs. These medicines are dispensed for the clinic at Mace’s Pharmacy. You may ask any staff member about this program or other health care services.
