Barbour Community Health Association Welcomes Nathan Channell as Chief Financial Officer
PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Channell as its new Chief Financial Officer. Channell joins BCHA with a strong background in financial analysis, accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and risk management. His experience working with regional banks, audit firms, and consulting organizations positions him well to guide BCHA’s continued growth and long-term financial vision.

Channell has served in several financial leadership roles, including Credit Risk Officer at Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Controller at Davis Trust Company, Assistant Controller at Mountain Valley Bank, and Audit and Assurance Staff Associate at Grossman Yanak and Ford LLP. In these positions, he led financial reporting, strengthened internal controls, coordinated regulatory filings, and supported executive decision making.

He holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from West Virginia University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is currently progressing toward his Certified Public Accountant licensure.
