Get to Know Brooke Waybright, Director of Quality & Compliance

By: Barbour Community Health AssociationFebruary 27, 2026

Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) is excited to announce the promotion of Brooke Waybright, RN, to Director of Quality & Compliance. Since joining BCHA in 2022, she has worked as a registered nurse at the Belington Medical Clinic and is a familiar face to many patients.

We recently sat down with Brooke to learn about her goals for her new position and what excites her most about her new role.

Question: What would you want patients to know about how this transition will affect their care?

Brooke Waybright: I want patients to know that they can expect to receive the same high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care they would receive any other day. This transition is supporting our teams behind the scenes.

Q: How has your experience at BCHA prepared you to step into this role?

BW: Barbour Community Health Association has supported me from day one in expanding my knowledge and growing in my professional career. My experience has allowed me to work closely with the clinical teams, leadership, and support staff across all of our sites. I have been directly involved in quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and patient safety activities, and this hands-on experience has given me a strong understanding of our workflows and our direct patient needs.

Q: How does the Director of Quality & Compliance role support safe, high-quality care for patients?

BW: The Director of Quality & Compliance plays a key role in ensuring that the systems, policies, and processes within our organization support safe and effective care for our patients. By monitoring quality metrics and addressing risk proactively, this role will help improve outcomes and support continuous improvement across our organization, which in the end directly benefits our patients.

Q: How will you work with nurses and clinical staff to maintain high standards of care?

BW: I strongly believe in collaboration and feel that it is essential for success. By working closely with the nurses and clinical staff, listening to their feedback, and removing barriers that impact care, my goal is to maintain high standards while also respecting the realities of daily clinical work. I have worked clinically and truly understand the importance of how our nurses support the patient population and contribute towards improved outcomes.

Q: Are there areas you’re excited to continue strengthening in this role?

BW: I am specifically excited to continue strengthening our quality improvement processes and risk management efforts. I also look forward to expanding education and communication so that everyone understands how their role contributes to quality outcomes and compliance. Building systems that support long-term success is a priority for me.

I want to thank Lesa Jordan for all of her guidance and training over the last 3 years. Because of her, I feel confident transitioning into this role and continuing the work she put into our organization during her time here.

Q: What does serving patients in Barbour County mean to you personally?

BW: Serving the patients of Barbour County means supporting a community that I grew up in, and it’s the same community that I am raising my children in. BCHA truly puts forth the work and effort needed to meet our patients where they are, no matter the barriers that they are facing. Being able to contribute to improving our patients’ care and protecting their safety is something that I feel honored to be able to be a part of.
